We’ve been both buyers and sellers many times. We know how this whole thing works.

We won’t convince you of anything by bad-mouthing other CF businesses – it’s not something we do.

We conduct ourselves according to our own standards and strive to deliver excellence on favourable terms for our clients. We don’t aim to be the biggest but we always aim for success in everything we do. If we think we can assist you, it’ll be our pleasure to work with you. If we don’t think we’re the people to get you what you’re looking for, we’ll tell you and won’t waste your time or money.

Not many Corporate Finance institutions can claim that.

Our network of global players

A network of global buyers in the manufacturing and engineering arena

For well over 20 years now, we have been dealing at board level with key decision-makers within small, medium and large industrial businesses worldwide.

Many of these decision-makers actually contact us to see if we have anything of interest for them. They know us as straight-talking, honest and reliable and the integrity of everything we have presented to them over the years has survived the test of time.

We pick the phone up, they answer. Of course, we cannot always guarantee interest and there will always be new individuals to meet but we pride ourselves on being expert in this area; after all, it’s probably the most important slice of the value we can add for our clients.

Rob Whorrod, BSc (Hons), ACA

After graduating from Nottingham University with a BSc (Hons) in Theoretical Dynamics, mathematics and engineering-based discipline, Rob decided to add finance and business skills to his portfolio and embarked on a Chartered Accountancy (ACA) profession through PWC and Grant Thornton.

After qualification, he moved into industry with the task of resurrecting a long-established manufacturer of explosion-protected equipment. The journey lasted ten years and resulted in a highly profitable exit to a large German sensor manufacturing company. As Managing Director, Rob was exposed to all the real-world requirements of stringent financial control, hands-on implementation of fully automated manufacturing systems and processes, quality system implementation, health and safety, human resources, global sales and marketing, management and ultimately the nuts and bolts of the M&A process. Now a successful entrepreneur and serial investor, Rob is well known for his creativity and ability to solve problems very quickly. His vision and financial prowess have led to many subsequent successful deals.

Clive Stanley

After qualifying in both Business & Finance and Electronic Engineering, Clive spent many years in the development and sales of technology for printed circuit and high technology manufacturing and production, working for many years as a consultant for clients and manufacturers, specifying and overseeing the installation and integration of equipment and processes.

With the demise of the UK PCB sector, Clive migrated fully to mechanical engineered components for precision and high-quality applications in, amongst others, the medical, aerospace, high-end automotive, process and automation sectors. Clive then co-developed a manufacturing facility that created vision technology specifically for designated hazardous areas, having been invited to be part of the team that acquired, developed, rapidly grew and subsequently sold the business to a US-based conglomerate. He has since been instrumental in the development and subsequent sale of specialist product ranges. Specific experience in electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering plus all commercial aspects of a business.
